Chargifi aces wireless charging across global sporting venues

Chargifi has been deployed at some of the world’s largest sporting events this month, including the Swiss Indoors ATP World Tour in Basel, Switzerland and the National Football League games at Twickenham Stadium, London.

Chargifi named in Top 50 Digital Innovators Power list

Chargifi has been named as one of the most visionary digital companies in this year's 'Digital Innovators Power List' complied by Bird & Bird LLP and City A.M. The list identifies 50 of the most inspiring digital companies impacting the market as a "life changer" or a "market transformer".  See full list here


Apple buys New Zealand-based wireless charging company PowerbyProxi

Apple has acquired PowerbyProxi, a wireless charging company that makes wireless charging modules capable of 100-watt power transfer. This move suggests that Apple could, down the line, integrate wireless charging technology into larger and more power-hungry devices like the MacBook and paves way towards a truly wireless future. Read more here

Following Apple's announcement last month, new market forecasts by IHS Markit, reveal the number of devices enabled with wireless charging will exceed 300 million units a year for the first time, in 2017. IHS also shared some new consumer stats in October, showing the strength of consumer sentiment for wireless charging and the opportunity for public spaces to deliver against this growing demand.
