December 2017 | Chargifi Monthly News
As 2017 draws to a close it is an opportunity for us to take stock of what has been a game-changing year for Chargifi and the wireless charging market. Apple’s announcement a couple of months back, that wireless charging would be integrated into the latest iPhones, has been a catalyst for driving the mass deployment of wireless charging. What WiFi did for connectivity, wireless charging is about to do for power and we are looking forward to leading this market as it continues to evolve into 2018.
This year we have seen Chargifi go global with installs in The Grand Central Hyatt, NYC through to keeping fans connected at some of the world’s biggest sporting events: the Swiss Indoors ATP World Tour 500 in Basel, and the Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes Benz Stadium and Twickenham Stadium here in the UK. We were pleased to receive industry recognition by being named as one of London’s most visionary digital companies in this year’s ‘Digital Innovators Power List’.
Thank you for your continued support and on behalf of the team at Chargifi, I would like to wish all our clients, partners, friends and families a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Apple’s new iOS 11.2 software went live earlier this month adding faster wireless charging. With support for 7.5W charging speeds, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X will be able to charge quicker over a wireless connection – the 7.5W wireless charging speeds are now faster than the speed of a standard wired 5W power adapter that comes with your new iPhone. Chargifi’s wireless charging technology is fully compatible with this latest update.
Our Co-Founder & CEO, Dan Bladen is delighted to have been featured in Business Leader’s podcast. Business Leader’s Editor Barney Cotton speaks to Dan about what wireless charging is, how it works and who we work with. Why not tune in to find out more. Keep your eyes peeled for more news on our website.
