How does wireless charging work?

Qi wireless charging uses an inductive method of charging where charging happens by placing a Qi-enabled device on a transmitter coil. The mobile device doesn’t receive power through a traditional cable but through an inductive electromagnetic field that is generated by coils in the charging device (transmitter) and then picked up by coils in the receiving device (receiver).
